THOR Solutions is actively seeking a SharePoint Administrator to oversee an upcoming corporate operations support contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate should possess demonstrable experience as a Microsoft SharePoint Developer/ Administrator in a U.S. Navy/DoD environment. This position will focus on supporting a large Microsoft SharePoint environment within NIWC Pacific, and providing support services to high-level government civilian and active duty military customers.
Typical Responsibilities:
Building, monitoring, and troubleshooting the NIWC Pacific Hub sites and Microsoft SharePoint environment for multiple NIWC Pacific departments, including Corporate Operations, Strategic Management, Business Planning, Workforce Management, Military Management, Process Improvement, and Corporate Communications. This includes:
Resolving trouble tickets/emails/MS Teams requests
Publishing details of upcoming NIWC events in the Hub
Supporting monthly Hub and SharePoint trainings to large groups via MS Teams
Tracking and controlling Hub/SharePoint user permission levels
Developing SOPs and User Guides to enhance the Hub/SharePoint skills of NIWC PAC users
Interfacing weekly with senior/executive-level military and civilian customer personnel to provide status updates, receive and discuss new assignments, and ensure customer satisfaction in all areas.
Understanding and maintaining proper protocol and etiquette in all interactions with senior military and civilian customers; ensuring that all contract tasking is completed on time and to customer specifications.
Location: Full time onsite at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) in San Diego, CA.
Schedule: This position follows the California Alternate Work Week schedule. Mondays through Thursdays are 9 hour days. Fridays alternate between 8 hour days or non-working days. In each two-week period, this totals 80 hours.
Typical Physical Activity: Desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion.
Typical Pay Range: The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $28.50 - 33.75/hour. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.
Security Clearance Eligibility Required:?This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must either already possess an active or interim Secret security clearance (highly preferred); OR be eligible for a Secret security clearance prior to start.
Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:?
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
In lieu of an appropriate degree, a combination of other degrees, relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and/or additional years of relevant experience may be considered.
At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience with Microsoft SharePoint development and administration.
Ideal experience will have been obtained in a U.S. Navy, DOD, or other Federal environment.
Strong communication skills, including experience/comfort interacting with senior/executive-level active-duty military and civilian Government employees.
Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and other common productivity software.
Effective organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
