ASRC Federal is seeking a Data Administrator in Huntsville, AL to join our team in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC).
This position is within the Library Functional Area of the MDDC.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
Developing Integrated Data Management Plans; executing critical path data handling required for test analysis; coordinating data requirements; fostering relationships with the data community; developing presentations; leading data coordination activities; and tracking data requests and deliveries.
Candidates will utilize custom-developed data management software and the Microsoft Office Product Suite to accomplish the data management function.
Candidates must be able to perform in a team environment and to perform well against aggressive time schedules that support quick turnaround data processing operations.
Provides document scanning (unclassified and classified).
Performs media logging and labeling for all media formats.
Prepares media for destruction using correct procedures.
Develops unclassified and classified CDs holding migrated data.
Conducts migration of legacy media (unclassified and classified).
Conducts multiple media migration using correct procedures and processes (unclassified and classified).
Determines priorities, perform local backups, and load scanned documents to mass storage system. Responsible for understanding and conducting video processing and migrating older formats to newer formats (DVD).
Researches and understands multiple media formats and migration processes and develop migration processes if required.
Documents and maintains trusted download procedures and information as required.
Requirements :
Must be a US Citizen .
Active Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent
2-5 years of experience
Experience with handling of classified data on various media types
Experience working in a schedule-driven team environment
