i3 is proud to help our nations military personnel make the transition to civilian careers through the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge program. These opportunities are specifically for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. Participants are not eligible for compensation as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.

Space Capabilities Program Manager / Business Development Lead
Responsibilities
Responsible for gaining familiarity with and helping inform work standards, contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, advising contractor personnel, and informing policies, purposes, and goals of the organization.
Advise and inform the development and preparation of proposals for programs and assist the primary contract as needed.
Advise and inform the necessary schedules for proposal submittal, proposal preparation, pricing, and review the proposal for responsiveness to the program's requirements.
Gain familiarity on the process to establish budgets, forecasts, manpower, equipment, and supply needs for various programs.
Inform and advise on the preparation of efficient and effective program metrics, other reports, and briefings as required.
Qualifications
SkillBridge Requirements:
Must be a current Active Duty Servicemember.
Must be separating from the Military within 180 days.
Will receive an honorable discharge.
Must be able to complete 40 hours per week.
Willingness to learn from others on the job.
Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.

Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support for which the individual is supporting plus 21 years of experience. Or Masters degree and 14 years of experience. Or Doctorate and 11 years of experience.
DoD leader with greater than 10 years of experience in Space planning and operations.
DoD planner with greater than 5 years of experience in cross functional team leadership at the operational and/or strategic level.
DoD trainer with greater than 5 years of experience ranging at the tactical unit to service level to include Space-based wargaming and simulation.
Current experience in managing government contracts and interacting with Contracting Officers, CORs, and Technical Monitors.
Experience with managing agile project plans and familiarity with tools such as MS Project, MS Azure and Jira.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Demonstrated ability to develop and prepare program proposals.
Proficiency in establishing budgets, forecasts, and resource needs.
Experience in designing and conducting program metrics, reports, and briefings.
Active Top-Secret Level Clearance with SCI Access. Clearance, Access, and Investigation must appear in DISS and be within scope (5 - Years).
