Responsibilities:
This position requires a flexible individual with experience in development, integration, and test of Manned or Unmanned subsystems and platforms. TSC's AISR team designs, builds, and operates a family of manned and unmanned systems sustaining 24/7 operations at multiple sites around the world. This position requires an individual familiar with all phases of product life cycle, from initial development through operations. The individual in this position needs to learn and know the Special Mission or UAS platform from tip to tail.
Systems analysis in support of requirements development and verification
Requirements decomposition across subsystems
Interface definitions across subsystems to include electrical, mechanical, and logical
Support subsystem, system, and flight test planning
Work within a multi-discipline team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to build complete solutions and products
Support all phases of detailed system and subsystem development activities for UAS subsystems and platforms, including upfront analysis, prototyping, end item development and evaluation in laboratory and field test environments
Analysis of measured data from laboratory and/or field testing.
Lead by example to enforce systems engineering process and methodologies
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team locally and across physical locations
Work with product owners to build technical roadmaps and corresponding requirements
Work with production team to develop production level requirements to ensure manufacturability and sustainability
Required Qualifications:
BS in an engineering field with a minimum 10 years of experience in industry -or- a minimum 10 years as UAS Systems Engineer/Special Mission aircraft Systems Engineer
Experience with the following areas is required:
Integration and tuning of avionics into UAS or General Aviation aircraft
Integration of payloads into UAS or General Aviation aircraft (i.e. EO/IR, communications, EW, etc.)
Mitigation of EMI/EMC through design and manufacturing techniques
Calculating flight performance theoretical and actual
Demonstrated technical leadership and subject matter expertise
Possess excellent organizational and communications skills
Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
"First flight" field test planning and execution
Experience with rotary engines and electrical generation systems
Experience with SATCOM integration and operations
Experience with alternative-navigation and timing solutions
Experience designing, building, and testing subsystems for an airborne platform
Experience defining line replacement units to meet O-level requirements
Knowledge of ISR payloads, capabilities, and mission
Experience with field testing in austere locations
Experience developing requirements from undefined customer needs
Experience providing customer support CONUS and OCONUS
