Responsibilities
MTSI is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance to provide support to a Government Office at WPAFB, Ohio. The engineer's primary focus will be to provide system engineering and test engineering support to multiple program teams. The individual will work with other PMs, Engineers, Security, and internal and external stakeholders to further the Government's acquisition strategy goals and objectives managed by AFLCMC.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in translating user requirements into system requirements, which will be used to design, develop, test and evaluate systems, subsystems and equipment for deployment.
Provide Systems Engineering support for technology and product acquisitions to include long-term planning, request for proposal (RFP) development, and technical oversight of ongoing projects.
Assess new capabilities in achieving system design requirements and specification.
Evaluate system/subsystem design functions and improvements to protect Critical Program Information (CPI).
Assist with the development of requirements and technology needs into action plans and policies necessary to mature weapon systems acquisition development planning.
Perform technical analyses of existing and potential operational requirements, assists in developing system concepts and performs technological/trade-off study assessments of proposed designs.
Develop and review the overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability requirements).
Review specifications, including system, system segment and equipment specifications, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) involved in programs.
Support and conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, lifecycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessment and scheduling trade-off studies.
Support and conduct systems analyses to include, but not limited to, system design/design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessment.
