Job Overview
We are looking for an Information Systems intern to join our team for a 24-week period lasting from Jan-April. This internship requires 40 hours of on-site work per week.
The Ideal candidate will be enrolled in a graduate degree program in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Our paid internship program provides an opportunity for students to assist our team in analyzing plant processes, designing and implementing improvements, troubleshooting issues with hardware and processes, and working with others to detect problems and implement solutions.
Job Responsibilities
As an Intern working in the cybersecurity function, you will work with a passionate team to apply your knowledge and gain experience with one or more of the following:
Participate in the vulnerability management program and provide necessary support to enhance the security of GLC IT and OT assets.
Document current state and future state OT security and governance process.
Run vulnerability scans for IT assets.
Support the IT Infrastructure team in applying OS level patches.
Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support.
Gain hands-on experience in an IT Infrastructure patch management.
Report on a defined set of metrics and dashboards to demonstrate the effectiveness of vulnerability management controls.
Shadow and train with knowledgeable professionals.
Opportunity to work with strategic projects team to complete IT objectives.
Up to 25% travel required (if needed).

Required Education and Experience
Actively enrolled in or possessing a Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience using cyber security systems and products
Has had previous internships, work experience or research experience in their field of cyber security.
Has applied learning outside of a classroom through involvement in student clubs, competitions, self-learning or similar events or activities in their field of study.
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Preferred Education and Experience
Problem solving skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong communication, presentation, and team skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work well independently.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting.
Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35F to 100F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
