Airfreight Experience is Required for this Role
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Airfreight Coordinator to manage and oversee air cargo operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods by air, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while maintaining excellent communication with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage airfreight shipments, including booking cargo space with airlines, arranging transportation, and tracking shipments.
Prepare and review air cargo documentation such as air waybills, customs declarations, and other required paperwork.
Communicate with airlines, freight forwarders, and clients to ensure smooth handling of shipments and resolve any issues that arise.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure they meet deadlines and are delivered to the correct destination.
Handle customer inquiries and provide updates on shipment status.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including customs regulations and safety standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with airlines, customs brokers, and other partners to facilitate efficient operations.
Review and analyze freight costs to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Prepare reports and maintain records of airfreight activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in airfreight coordination or a similar logistics role.
Strong knowledge of air cargo operations, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
