The Logistics Operations Specialist will complete, coordinate and maintain visibility of request orders through entire acquisition process in support of the Iraq T6 Program to the country of Iraq. Interacts daily with Program Logistics Manger, QCC Material Control Technicians and military material managers. Must be familiar with the day-to-day operation and the necessary documentation.
Principal Accountabilities
Coordinate daily with supply chain management groups to verify requisition entry and monitor shipments of material until receipt
Perform request order entries into company logistics management system to trigger acquisition process
Monitor request orders through entire acquisition process support interfacing daily with Program Logistics Manager, supporting personnel and military material managers
Conduct receipts in AMRO and coordinate acceptance of inventory with the customer
Create shippers in AMRO and coordinate shipments with freight forwarders
Communicate with Program Logistics Manager on supply operations and prepare reports and briefings
Exercise sound administrative judgment in order to maintain effective organization
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office software, databases, spreadsheets, and data entry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to maintain proficiency in AMRO.
Prefer knowledge of logistics and supply principles, supply chain. management, Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP), wholesale and retail levels of the Federal Supply System.
This position will require the ability to obtain/maintain United States Secret Security Clearance. Please NOTE: US Citizenship is required to ability to obtain/maintain United States Secret Security Clearance.
Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain/logistics/warehousing. Prefer experience in material management and/or in military, government, Department of Defense (DOD), or commercial supply chain.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer Associate's Degree in logistics, business, or related field
Prefer certification by professional association in a related logistics, supply chain, or property organization
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Day to day work will be in a warehouse environment.
