Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of machinery used in manufacturing. This includes ensuring machines run efficiently, producing high-quality products, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow precise instructions to ensure smooth and effective machine operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate a variety of machines, such as [insert types of machines: CNC machines, lathes, presses, injection molding machines, packaging machines, etc.], to manufacture parts or products according to production schedules.
Load raw materials into machines and ensure machines are set up correctly for optimal production.
Monitor machines during operation to ensure they are running smoothly, checking for any signs of malfunction or potential problems.
Inspect products during and after production for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
Adjust machine settings, feed material, and troubleshoot machine malfunctions to keep production running smoothly.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
Keep accurate records of machine settings, production outputs, and any issues encountered during the production process.
Follow work orders, production schedules, and safety guidelines to ensure timely and safe completion of manufacturing tasks.
Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to improve machine efficiency and resolve any production challenges.
Ensure proper handling of finished products, including quality inspections and packaging, and ensure they are properly labeled and stored.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols to reduce the risk of accidents.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1-2 years of experience as a machine operator or in a similar manufacturing or industrial role.
Ability to operate, set up, and adjust a variety of manufacturing machines.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor the quality of finished products.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety standards and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CNC machines, presses, or other specialized manufacturing equipment.
Forklift or other material-handling equipment certification.
Knowledge of quality control processes and experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques (e.g., 5S).
Basic computer skills for recording data and completing work orders.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
