Health Equity Strategy Principal
Job Description
This role is accountable for advancing Prime's health equity strategy, in concert with clinical dyad partner. The incumbent will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Health Equity Connections group, GP and Star Ratings Center of Excellence, external stakeholders, and other subject matter experts to build strategy plan, increase awareness and understanding of health equity and drive collaboration to align on key priorities and initiatives. The incumbent will partner with Prime's Health Outcomes and Analytics teams to identify relevant data sources, architecture, and analytic needs to identify disparities, opportunities for intervention, and monitor progress. The incumbent will also support strategic partnerships and pilot interventions with clients to understand and address social determinants of health and improve health equity.
Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive organizational review to collect, analyze, interpret, and understand Prime's business model, key capabilities, and capacity to increase its impact on improving health equity. Serve as internal and external subject matter expert on health equity, Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), and related evolving regulatory requirements including CMS Health Equity Index and Star Ratings measures.
Develop an understanding of Prime's data assets, analytic capabilities and recommend a data driven approach that informs and evolves Prime's health equity strategy and priorities. Support the development of reporting and analytics that provide actionable insights, provide decision support, and assess the impact of the overall health equity strategy, key initiatives, and impact. Leverage data to inform and influence Prime's health equity strategy, priorities, and impact on health equity
Spearhead the development and implementation of an education and awareness campaign for all Prime's employee and key stakeholders. Champion tactics that promote, advance, and align health equity to Prime's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion priorities.
Partner with clients on pilot interventions aimed at understanding SDOH, improving health equity, and driving Star Ratings performance involving other Prime stakeholders and/or other external stakeholders as appropriate
Build and foster relationships and networks to stay abreast of the health equity landscape. Share insights to promote innovation and to advance Prime's impact on health equity

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Health Science, Business or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
8 years of related work experience in healthcare delivery, healthcare administration, health insurance or pharmacy benefit health equity or related field
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
Expert interpersonal communication skills and the ability to confidently represent the business and interact with external entities
Ability to provide strategic counsel and constructive feedback with a strong sense of professional integrity and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential material appropriately
Ability to deliver big picture communication strategies and drive high profile, large projects to execution
Experience leveraging data and analytics to inform decision making, derive actionable insights and assess outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the social determinants of health and the impact on health equity
Experience in developing evidence-based strategies and tactics to improve health outcomes and/or access to affordable and effective health care and/or pharmaceutical drugs to improve quality of life
Knowledge of CMS Star Ratings program including Health Equity Index

Potential pay for this position ranges from $109,000.00 - $174,000.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
