About the Role
We are seeking a Research and Evaluation Specialist to support a federal public health training and technical assistance (TA) program for our Federal Government customer.
This is a fully remote position based in the United States.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the federal client and team to develop and implement qualitative and mixed-method data collection protocols (i.e., needs assessment) to inform training and technical assistance program for federal grant awardees working in cancer prevention.
Conduct data analyses and review existing research to inform the development of training and technical assistance program for federal grant awardees working in cancer prevention.
Support the design and documentation of a rigorous project evaluation methodology.
Provide consultation based on data analysis and findings to support the project as needed.
Develop data dissemination resources, including presentation slides and development of informational webinars.
In addition, provide programmatic support and coordination to include communication and collaboration with client staff and external grantees.
Provide support for conducting training and technical assistance for federal grant awardees and client staff
Support meeting logistics, agenda development and note-taking.
Responsible for timely completion of deliverables to meet the needs of the client and training program.
Requirements
Required Experience and Skills
3-5 years of experience conducting and analyzing research and evaluation data.
Must possess excellent analytical abilities and verbal/written communication, organization, and presentation skills.
Experience with statistical software and excellent data communication skills.
Strong background performing data analysis including statistical methods.
Experience serving as a consultant (internal or external) on analytic projects.
The ability to provide technical assistance to internal and external team members and stakeholders.
Experience supporting and/or conducting literature, program and resource reviews, needs assessments, and reporting findings.
Experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
Experience writing data analysis summary reports.
Strong quantitative and qualitative skills.
Effective organization and communication skills
Experience working with/in a federal government agency, preferably in public health.
Knowledge of adult learning theory a plus.
Knowledge and experience in training and technical assistance a plus.
Ability to obtain government clearance.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Education and Training
BA/BS in a related field; MPH with a concentration in Program Evaluation, Statistics, or another research field preferred.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
