Description
Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is currently seeking a Vice President of Software Development to join our growing organization. The Vice President of Software Development will provide leadership for the software development line of business. The ideal candidate will lead and oversee technical execution as well as provide support directly to customers, as needed while also assisting our solutioning and business development teams providing their experience and technical expertise. This position will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The VP of Software Development will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
Leading and managing multiple software engineering teams.
Direct execution on software development and/or DevSecOps project efforts as needed.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Overseeing the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software products and services.
Lead the delivery of client facing deliverables and presentations
Ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, and maintaining high standards of software quality.
Mentoring and developing team members to include hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into the organization's practices.
Building relationships with stakeholders and influencing business decisions.
Experience with automated build, test, continuous integration, delivery and deployment tools.
Coordinate staffing plans for existing and upcoming work
Review or create system architectures for projects as needed
Support solutioning and business development functions to include but not limited to:
Support responding to RFxs
Public speaking engagements
Attending conferences
Requirements
Minimum Candidate requirements
Candidate must have Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field, or a minimum of of 10+ years experience in Software Development
Candidate must be US citizen
Candidate must have DoD Secret Clearance
Candidate must have an active CompTIA Security+
Candidate must have 5+ years experience in a management and/or senior management role overseeing software development or engineering business functions
Candidate must have experience in an Agile SDLC Environment.
Desired knowledge, skills or experience (not required)
Experience in a DoD or other federal security environments
Familiarity with Government DevSecOps initiatives

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

$150,000 - $210,000
