Position Overview:
Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for a Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise and support during the sales process and ensure the successful integration of Hidden Level's passive RF sensors and Data as a Service solutions with client systems. This individual will work closely with the sales, engineering, and product teams to design customized solutions, assist with product demonstrations, and serve as a key technical resource for both internal teams and clients. The Sales Engineer is expected to be deeply knowledgeable about Hidden Level's hardware and software offerings and capable of diagnosing and troubleshooting client-specific challenges.
Candidates must have a strong background in software defined hardware with an emphasis on passive Radio Frequency (RF) sensing technology. Experience with Data as a Service (DaaS) platforms is encouraged.
The preferred location for the role is on the East Coast.
Responsibilities:
Provide Technical Expertise:
Write sections of proposals and RFI responses
Act as a liaison between Hidden Level's' technical community and our counterparts within the government
Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for potential clients.
Design, configure, and customize Hidden Level sensor and Data as a Service solutions and integration solutions with third-party systems.
Assist clients in understanding how Hidden Level's solutions solve their specific challenges.
Facilitate Product Integration:
Oversee the integration of hardware (airspace sensors) and software (airspace monitoring services) into existing client infrastructures.
Work with clients to ensure smooth deployments of Hidden Level technology.
Troubleshoot and provide post-installation support for technical issues related to hardware and software solutions.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
Serve as a bridge between clients, sales, and engineering teams to ensure that solutions meet client needs.
Provide valuable feedback to the product development team based on customer interactions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products and services to effectively support sales opportunities.
Software and Hardware Knowledge:
Passive Radio Frequency (RF) Sensor technology.
CUAS (Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems) hardware.
Integration experience with 3rd party systems such as radar systems, camera systems, or other defense-related hardware.
Knowledge of network configuration and protocols for data exchange between sensors and monitoring platforms.
Experience with cloud-based service deployments (preferred).
What We're Looking For:
Technical Sales Experience:
Demonstrated success in supporting or selling hardware and software solutions in a defense, aerospace, or security context.
Experience working with or integrating airspace sensors and monitoring solutions.
Experience working in a team-selling environment where technical expertise is crucial to closing deals.
Client-Centric Approach:
Ability to understand and communicate complex technical requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Prioritize client needs and proactively design solutions that address mission-critical operations.
Proficiency in Problem-Solving:
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical challenges in real-time.
Provide solutions for complex technical deployments and system integrations.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or solution architecture roles with hardware and software integration responsibilities.
Knowledge of CUAS systems and airspace monitoring technology.
Experience with system integration and network configuration.
Willingness to travel up to 40% for client meetings, demonstrations, and installations.
TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with defense, government, or security-related contracts.
Familiarity with radar systems, camera systems, or similar detection hardware.
STEM degree or equivalent experience.
Experience working in a government contracting environment.
Salary Range : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $140,000 to $170,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
