BAE Systems is seeking a Program Director III for our Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) business area, leading our Engine Systems (ES) product line. In CAS, you will have the opportunity to help define, develop, and support the next generation of avionics whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, or power management solutions.
In this role you will:
Ensure business growth and fulfilment of long-term business plans, driving acceptable financial objectives for orders, sales, gross margin, and cash over one-, two-, and five-year planning periods
Provide leadership and program management for the Engine Systems business portfolio, a key supplier to GE Aerospace and CFM International and provides aftermarket support to 600 airlines globally
Lead and oversee program reviews to ensure customer needs, delivery, quality, and cost meet or exceed plan
Oversee complex development and production programs, and serve on two significant joint ventures setting the strategy, and leading business capture, execution, and manufacturing performance to ensure growth of the JV
Partner with cross-functional team to develop strategy across commercial and military product lines, reviewing and approving customer proposals, and developing strategies for negotiations with commercial and military customers
Develops content and budget for B&P, BOE, IR&D, and P&E to support new business opportunities
Develops working relationships with other functions (engineering, operations, finance, contracts, HR, communications)
Serves as Phase Review Chair for other business areas
Partners across the enterprise to build a talent strategy for the segment and business area. Delivers succession plans, talent plans, and development plans to drive investment in our people
Acts as a coach, mentor and sponsor for high performing and high potential talent across the sector
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree in a technical or business-related discipline
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a program manager and/or project manager
Prior experience working in manufacturing, technology, or aerospace
Prior management/direct supervision of managers
Executive level communication skills with experience presenting complex information to senior leaders
Must be willing to travel up to 40% of the time, including international travel
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. BAE Systems, Inc. will not offer sponsorship for this position
This role requires the ability to obtain a security clearance (secret) within twelve months of hire
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master s degree in related field
Technical Background in related products/industry
PMP certification
LSS Green or Black Belt
International business experience
Active security clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $194600 - $330800

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
