CACI's Mastodon Design is looking to hire a Senior Digital Design Engineer in Rochester, NY. This organization specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers' next requirement. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build.
Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems. This position will support the design, integration, testing, and evaluation of digital communication and radio systems for military customers.
Responsibilities:
Design complex, high-density digital circuit board and flex assemblies for custom military radio products and communication systems
Architect digital and embedded systems of FPGAs, microprocessors, SoCs, and memory
Mixed signal design, including A/D, D/A, and DDCs
Experience with scoping and implementing appropriate power and conversion requirements
Ability to work with PCB designers to layout and review critical components and circuits
Develop test and evaluation criteria at the component, circuit board, unit, and system levels to release designs from prototype to production
Work with vendors and supply chain on selection and sourcing of components
Collaborate across the hardware team, including RF and Mechanical Engineering
Collaborate across the engineering organization, including Software and Systems Engineering teams to meet project scope and delivery requirements
Provide documentation of work and analysis in formal technical reports and media
Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering
Minimum electrical engineering work experience of 7 years
US citizenship is required to obtain a S/TS/SCI
Direct experience in circuit board design, fabrication, and assembly
In depth knowledge of digital circuits, layouts, and interfaces
Broad knowledge of digital communication technologies and devices
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Active Secret Security Clearance
Experience in FPGA design, embedded systems firmware, and driver interfaces
Experience in analog and power supply design
Effective communication and collaboration skills with engineering and management teams

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$95,500-$210,100
