Position Summary :
Mentors are responsible for mentoring Debt Counselors and/or Support Staff providing services on ConServe contracts and meeting or exceeding assigned goals. Develops, trains, and evaluates performance and fulfillment of responsibilities of staff. Due to the competitive nature of these contracts, it is imperative ConServe locates experienced, professional individuals who are customer-focused, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Work a regular portfolio of accounts which may include Route Maintenance & Skip-Tracing.
Lead by example including achieving and exceeding goals.
Provide encouragement and share knowledge with staff.
Provide one-on-one training with staff.
Conduct group training as necessary.
Adhering to ConServe and contractual policies and procedures.
Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude for others to follow while creating a safe and productive work environment for employees to work in.
Develop staff by providing group and individual training on a daily/weekly/monthly basis while providing constructive feedback to the staff regarding their performance.
Enforce Conserve's policies on a consistent basis.
Provide staff with feedback and guidance in a timely manner.
Work with management to implement different structures, strategies, and procedures that will enable Conserve to exceed their goals.
Adherence to Conserve's Professional Practices Management System and Policies, Code of Conduct and Compliance Program.
Create and adhere to agendas and schedules as defined by management.

Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or GED
Associates or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Skills/ Requirements:
Six (6) months of collections experience or equivalent experience.
Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude for others to follow.
Highly organized, detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Quick learner and adaptable to change.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Dependable and self-managed.
Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of ConServe's programs, procedures and processes.
Must have a proven performance record as a Debt Counselor and/or Mentor or equivalent experience.
Experience assisting subordinates or co-workers in the learning of new programs and processes.
Must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen, persuade and negotiate.
Fluent in conversational English and ability to proficiently read and write English.
Ability to work required hours based on departmental needs.
Must be able to demonstrate strong organization and time management skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain State Collections Licensure.
