Configuration Management (CM) Specialist/Site Lead - Senior- TS/SCI required

HOW A CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT (CM) SPECIALIST - SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Plan and develop methods and procedures for implementing the sites program, directs and coordinates sites activities, and exercises control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of test program
Confer with Contractor or Government staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of program.
Direct and coordinate personally, or through subordinate managerial personnel, activities concerned with implementation and carrying out objectives of program.
Review reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objective and modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attain objectives.
Reports to manager for any security, staffing, or resource problems
Addresses operational issues with mission partners
May draft executive correspondence, provide senior level briefings and be proactive in developing solutions
Responsible for effectively tracking, logging, categorizing, and maintaining changes made against the accepted Army baseline(s) standards.
Ensures change packages resulting from approved Configuration Control Board action are implemented in a timely manner.
Ensures personnel are trained by conducting workshops and seminars on the proper methodology to maintain a proactive CM program.
Provides daily support and direction to staff as to change status requirements, deadlines, and problems.
Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems
Identifies configuration items, implements change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits
Works with our teams to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.)
Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system and ensures contract teams are working within these approved plans and procedures.
Ensures employees implement only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software, licenses, media, and other IT assets
Ensures employees are acting on changes to the baselines that have gone through appropriate change boards
Ensures all problems and changes in product documents/software and reports changes, controls standard operating procedures and current configurations
May serve as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) Government change control boards (CCB)
Provides technical oversight and/or direction to multiple teams within the organization ensuring effective communication and adherence to contract/site policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience
Required Skillset:
Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high quality environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills along with a strong customer service focus and ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management support
Comprehensive knowledge of and familiarity with configuration management software applications
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
Required Certification(s):
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent
Computing Env: ITIL Foundation Certificate
Location : On Customer Site

Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
