Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Bellevue, NE , is seeking a DevOps Engineer/ Principal DevOps Engineer in support of programs. Successful candidates should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will be an active part of a DevOps Engineering team with expertise in Jenkins, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, and related DevOps technologies. They will play a pivotal role in development and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications for a DevOps Engineer:
One of the following:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline
Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD technologies
Knowledgeable in development of CI/CD Pipelines
U.S. citizenship with active Secret clearance
Basic Qualifications for a Principal DevOps Engineer:
One of the following:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 3 years of experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD technologies
Knowledgeable in development of CI/CD Pipelines
U.S. citizenship with active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with container technology and tools (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc.)
Experience with automation tools such as Gradle, Jenkins, and Ansible
Experience developing automation techniques that improve deployment speed and service reliability in the containerized environment
Experience working in an Agile environment/working knowledge of Agile principles and practices
Experience applying security controls
Software development experience
Database experience
Experience using Git
DevOps, Security, or Cloud related certifications
Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance if needed
Salary Range: $75,300 - $112,900
Salary Range 2: $92,600 - $139,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
