Job Description:
The candidate will be responsible for managing and mitigating supply chain risks that pose a threat to the operational readiness of the Air Force. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure the continuous availability, reliability, and security of Air Force assets and materiel.
Duties/ Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain risk management strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could impact the performance and delivery of Air Force supply chain operations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Air Force units, other military branches, government agencies, and suppliers, to establish and maintain effective relationships and facilitate information sharing.
Conduct regular risk assessments, including vulnerability and threat assessments, to identify and prioritize risks across the entire Air Force supply chain.
Create and maintain a risk register, documenting identified risks, risk scores, risk mitigation plans, and responsible parties.
Develop appropriate risk management strategies, tactics, and plans, including contingency and continuity plans, to mitigate identified risks and ensure the resilience and continuity of Air Force supply chain operations.
Prepare and deliver regular reports and briefings to Air Force leadership on the status of supply chain risk management activities, risk levels, and mitigation efforts.
Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging threats related to supply chain risk management and recommend process improvements and innovations to enhance the effectiveness of Air Force supply chain operations.
Required Skills/Abilities
Personnel shall have experience with AF SCM acquisition logistics support to assist the Government in the development, support, and performance of logistics management.
Ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities and tight deadlines, and maintain detailed project plans and workflows.
Excellent communications and change management, planning and prioritization skills.
Possess and demonstrate interpersonal and leadership skills to build relationships with key internal stakeholders responsible for decision making.

MS Project literacy
Working knowledge of Government or commercial supply chain for aviation industry
GIDEP system experience
JDRS system experience
Education and Experience:
7+ years of relevant experience
Travel:
Yes. Possibly occasional for conferences, working groups, or executive level presentations.
Clearance Requirement:
Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
