Our facility in Miamisburg, Ohio is home to our Defense and Aerospace Business Unit with strategic leadership and administration responsibilities for the global defense organization. This site specializes in the design, manufacture and test of energetic safety systems including electronic safe, arm and fire (ESAF) devices and firing modules (FMs), ignition safety devices (ISDs), custom energetics, and Blue Chip detonators and serves a variety of high-performance applications including precision munitions, tactical missiles, launch vehicles, and strategic missiles.
The ElectronicEngineering Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of a major production line. This Technician is the primary investigator in electronic failure analysis and reporting. Fabricates, repairs and recalibrates production testers, cables, and test fixtures. Analyzes electrical schematics and determines root causes for failure modes. A strong grasp of electrical troubleshooting principles, electronic circuitry, soldering, and non-destructive analysis is required to be successful in this position. Applicants must be self-starters and able to quickly organize tasks in order to allocate time to keep program on track.
Responsibilities:
Designs and fabricates prototype manual test stations and fixtures;
Repairs and recalibrates production testers, cables, and test fixtures;
Analyzes electrical schematics and determines root causes for failure modes;
Able to prototype and troubleshoot both existing and new electronic designs;
Participates in and conducts pre-production builds, debug, and product testing at internal, government and/or customer labs;
Ability to become a subject matter expert on a major product line;
Trains test technicians and production personnel to test procedures and procedure changes;
Reviews and improves test procedures;
Coordinates with other divisions at site to continuously improve product and processes;
Conducts laboratory or field test experiments and investigations, as well as correlates and interprets observations and results;

Requirements:
2-year technical degree with at least 2-5 years of electronic troubleshooting experience;
Ability to read electronic schematics;
Ability to solder and be certified to J-STD;
Organized and task oriented;
Knowledge of electronic design software (Altium, PSpice preferred) is desirable.
Must be proficient in MS Office;
Must also have the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance;
Previous experience with military high reliability programs and working with Military Standards is desirable;
Ingenuity and attention to detail skills are essential;
Lifting up to 50 lbs. is required;
Bending, reaching, and use of multiple hand tools is required;
Prolonged time working under a microscope is required;
