Overview
A Certified Arborist/Consulting Utility Forester (CUF) is responsible for managing the distribution line clearance program, including patrolling distribution circuits and prescribing work to be performed by tree contractors, and conducting field audits and documenting results, and determining when the next trim is required. The CUF is also responsible for notifying property owners of tree pruning and tree/brush removal work to be performed relating to this specification, mapping circuits, managing internal/external customer requests, performing outage investigations and, when necessary, obtaining permits from public agencies, and documenting work using a hand-held computer or smartphone. In addition, the Arborist/CUF shall be required to use computers and associated software, enter data into and process data from hand-held devices. As requested by a Senior CUF, the Arborist/CUF shall perform all necessary duties for emergency response in accordance with all safety requirements, laws and regulations, and applicable labor agreements.
The Arborist/CUF shall maintain a positive working relationship with tree contractor in the Arborist/CUF's assigned area and ensure tree crews' compliance with all company safety rules and applicable laws and regulations for worker and public safety, in addition to responsibility for timely resolution of customer complaints. The Arborist/CUF may be required to participate in public presentations and meetings.
This position is supporting project work throughout Ohio and we are considering candidates nationally interested in traveling for project purposes
