POSTION TITLE: Christmas Angel Tree Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center (Kroc Center Hawaii)
SUPERVISTOR: Family Ministry Coordinator
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt
CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time- (Temporary) Hourly Rate - $18.00

POSITION SUMMARY: The Christmas Angel Tree Coordinator assists in the annual Christmas Angel Tree Program, and other events during Christmas Season.
The Christmas Angel Tree Coordinator will have a deep commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army, which will be evident in his or her professional life and the way he or she represents The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in the community.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid and current Hawaii State driver's.
Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a fleet vehicle.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all types of people.
Possess good communication skills, both oral and written.
Must possess good time management and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively understand, reflect, communicate the Christian principles, mission, goals, and strengths of The Salvation Army and The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist in the Christmas Angel Tree Campaign, and other events during the Christmas Season.
Perform data entry.
Assist with the intake/application process.
Assist directing volunteers.
Assist transporting gifts to the warehouse/Kroc Center.
Assist with organizing incoming gifts for distribution including tagging, sorting, and prepping.
Recruit volunteers.
Communicate effectively with donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
Assist in administrative duties of the Angel tree campaign including managing all Angel Tree inquiries/hotline, processing online applications, scheduling and coordinating the intake and application process, generating season reports.
Secure donations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires sitting; climbing and/or balancing; stooping, kneeling, bending, stretching, crouching and/or crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; use of vision; driving a vehicle; pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying 25-50 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds. This employee will also be required to work weekends and evenings.
COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
The position requires talking to co-workers, clients, vendors; requires written communication to and from co-workers, clients, vendor; talking on the telephone; requires responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers, clients, and vendors; requires training/giving verbal and written instructions; requires receiving verbal and written instructions; requires writing/composing written language; requires reading; requires visiting/working at other worksites; requires communication via the latest technologies.
EQUIPMENT NEEDS:
Equipment used includes general office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, scanners, printers, fax machines, telephone (office and cell), 10-key calculator.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Most work will be driving long distances, driving for extended periods of time, and both day and night driving.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and participation in The Salvation Army's Fleet Safety Program.
CLEARANCES:
This position will require a criminal history information background check. Conviction of a crime will not automatically preclude employment. The circumstances involved in the conviction will be considered.
