Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Shipyard General Laborer with a secret clearance to join our team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks to support shipyard operations, ensuring the efficient and safe completion of projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintenance, repair, and construction of ships and shipyard facilities.
Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning, painting, and moving materials.
Operate basic hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Support skilled trades personnel as needed, including welders, electricians, and mechanics.
Load and unload materials and equipment.
Conduct routine inspections and report any issues to supervisors.
Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used.
Adhere to all security protocols and procedures related to the secret clearance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a shipyard or industrial environment preferred.
Active secret clearance is required.
Ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:

Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
