Adecco is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner with in-depth knowledge of California workers' compensation regulations. The successful candidate will manage complex or technically challenging claims involving litigation, rehabilitation, and high exposure cases. This position requires the ability to maintain excellent client relationships, adhere to industry best practices, and apply strategic cost-containment methods. Job Location: Remote in California (Must live in CA)
Assignment Type: Temporary
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims, developing action plans for timely resolution.
Calculate, assign, and manage appropriate reserves; approve and process claim payments within authority.
Negotiate claim settlements, ensuring efficient and cost-effective resolution.
Prepare required state filings within statutory guidelines.
Oversee litigation and coordinate with vendors for additional investigation or litigation management as necessary.
Apply cost-containment strategies, including leveraging vendor partnerships to reduce claims costs.
Manage claim recoveries, including subrogation, Second Injury Fund recoveries, and Social Security/Medicare offsets.
Report to excess carriers and maintain professional communication with claimants and clients.
Ensure all documentation and claims coding are accurate and up-to-date.
Additional Functions:
Participate in the organization's quality programs.
Travel as required to support claims management.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensing:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
Professional certification (as applicable to claims) preferred.
SIP Certification required.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience specifically in California Workers' Compensation claims management.
Strong understanding of insurance principles, claims management, and California workers' compensation laws.
Familiarity with Social Security and Medicare procedures, recoveries, offsets, and cost containment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong PC skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Exceptional analytical, interpretive, and organizational abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet service expectations.

Pay Details: $50.00 per hour
