Job Title: Material Process Technician 1
Location : Manhattan Beach, California, 90266
Job Type : This is a contract-to-hire position (you start on a contract, but there's a chance to get hired full-time later).
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 9/80 schedule (you work 9 hours a day for 8 days, then get a day off every two weeks).
Pay Rate: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
What You'll Do:
You'll work in a lab (called the Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) Lab ) where you'll test and analyze electronic components. This includes things like small parts of electronics (connectors, chips, etc.). The goal is to figure out how these components fail or break, so the company can improve products or make sure they meet quality standards.
Testing Components : You'll do physical tests on electronic components (stuff like microchips, connectors, and more) to see how they hold up under stress or wear.
Using Tools & Equipment : You'll work with special lab tools (like microscopes and testing machines) to check the components. Some of the equipment you'll use includes tools that break parts to see how they break (hence "destructive").
Documenting Results : You'll need to keep track of your tests and results, then report them back to engineers. This helps them understand how well the components work and whether they're reliable enough for space or military use.
Working with Engineers : You'll support engineers by gathering data and helping them troubleshoot any issues that come up during testing.
Required Skills:
Basic Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED (no college degree required).
Ability to follow test instructions and work with your hands .

Willingness to get a security clearance (if needed for the job).
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in a lab that tests electronic parts, especially where you break things apart to understand how they fail.
Familiarity with military or industry standards for testing electronic components (e.g., Mil-Std-883, Mil-Std-750).
Experience using specific lab equipment like microscopes, testing machines, etc.
Good communication skills (you'll need to explain your findings clearly).
