We have an exciting career opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Test Technician in Poway, CA. working in our Unmanned Aircraft Systems group. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for supporting various test efforts being performed by Electrical Engineering Systems Group (EESG). Assignments are normally outlined in terms of overall objectives and anticipated results. Work is performed on a task-by-task basis. Designs and builds test fixtures and equipment, performs tests and records results to rely to engineering staff. May travel to different facilities to perform tests. May have frequent interaction with cable, machine, fabrication, and additive manufacturing shops to have test fixturing built.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Builds test fixtures and equipment to support EESG test efforts.
Builds test cables.
Performs electrical bonding tests (milliohm measurements).
Performs standardized tests.
Orders parts and materials as needed.
Works with cable, machine, fabrication, and additive manufacturing shops to build test fixtures and components.
Performs test setup, tuning of lightning generator and other equipment/test stands with direction from engineering.
Manages check-in/check-out and sends equipment for calibration as needed from EESG test equipment cabinet.
Supports engineering for large multi-day system level tests.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires associate's degree or equivalent with five or more years of experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. Training and/or experience in test or experimental operations normally acquired in the military or technical schools desirable.
Must possess mechanical assembly skills.
Must possess general electrical skills and knowledge.
Mechanical design skills strongly desired.
Electrical design skills desired.
CAD and modeling skills desired.
Ability and willingness to work on systems which have unusual conditions such as high pressure, high voltage, high energy, cryogens, or radioactive materials. Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
