i3 is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support a unique and complex Army engineering effort located in Huntsville, Alabama. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical and engineering support and leadership. The position involves collaborating with civilian government personnel and a diverse team of engineering professionals to ensure project goals and timelines are achieved. The candidate can expect up to 10% travel. This position is contingent upon contract award, estimated late September timeframe.
Responsibilities
Maintain the Configuration Management Process, to include taking a leading role in change requests, Control Boards, and Technical Review Boards.
Take primary responsibility for the proper maintenance, auditing, shepherding of change approval, and communication of all changes to the design baseline.
Perform and coordinate audits of systems and software to verify compliance with established baselines.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all configuration management related activities.
Ensure the proper baseline identification of configuration items, perform periodic audits, and provide verification of version release configuration items.
Develop, maintain, and implement configuration management process standards, plans, and procedures in accordance with corporate AS9100 processes.
Ensure changes to the process methods and processes are properly approved in accordance with corporate AS9100 processes, communicated and managed throughout the CM lifecycle.
Maintain As-Built Configuration List
Conduct and/or participate in meetings with organizational team members.
Establish and satisfy system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
Provide user support and troubleshoot issues with configuration management software.
Travel approximately 10% to support the team.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Bachelors degree in a technical field is required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
Minimim of 5 years of relevant experience.
Prior experience in configuration management and requirements development.
Knowledge and/or Experience with Configuration Management Software such as Solidworks-PDM. Willingness and ability to learn new software tools.
Desired: Knowledge and/or Experience of Configuration Management challenges in settings with multiple entities making changes to a common design baseline .
Knowledge of Information Security and Auditing.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance IAM-I level certification (Security+).
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
