Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for a Program Manager 3 to support the Advanced RF Sensors (ARFS) Operating Unit in Linthicum, MD . The department has responsibility for growing the sector portfolio of technology and programs in emerging systems focused on advanced radar and Electronic Warfare (EW) technologies. Focus areas include emerging technology, disruptive innovation, rapid prototyping, and transitioning of discriminating technology to sector operating divisions.
What You'll Get to Do:
The selected candidate will serve in a Program Manager role on one or more contractual research and development (CRAD) programs as well as manage strategic internal R&D (IRAD) projects.
The selected candidate will be responsible for numerous aspects of the program including cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program, and interfacing as the lead with internal and external customers, vendors, and company support organizations.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for helping product divisions expand their customer base, identify growth opportunities, and play significant role in bid and proposal activities. Interfacing with the rest of the division to identify technology mature enough to pull into other IRAD and CRAD projects will also be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years or a Master's with 7+ years of experience supporting Government proposals, contracts and/or project management.
Experience executing completion-type programs with complex technical requirements.
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as the project or technical lead.
Knowledge of earned value management and capture management.
Demonstrated success leading teams to achieve a common goal.
Performs complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment.
Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
The ability to recognize and respond to executive and customer goals to rapidly develop outcomes supporting sector objectives.
US Citizenship with an Active Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a SAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in STEM.
Strong technical background in the research, development, and operation of military sensor systems.
10+ years' experience including as senior technical lead or engineering manager positions.
Experience in a leadership position on government programs over $10M and IR&D efforts over $750K.
Experience with earned value management and capture management.
2+ years' experience managing development for radar, EO/IR, SIGINT, cyber or communications systems.
Experience with geographically diverse program teams.
TS/SCI Clearance.
Salary Range: $172,500 - $258,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
