i3 is seeking a Systems Engineer to supportthe US Army MQ-1C Gray Eagle Uncrewed Aerial System (UAS)'s next generation simulation and trainer program. This project provides an opportunity to helpwrite software requirements, develop test plans, and perform software testing and integration with government hardware.
Responsibilities
Candidate will develop and maintain standardized, testable requirements based on customer input for DoD environment training and simulation software.
Candidate will be responsible for testing and documentation associated with developing software applications.
Candidate will be responsible for familiarizing themselves with 3^rd^party hardware and serving as an internal point of contact for such equipment.
Candidate will perform demonstrations and interface with customers to ensure product meets end customer goals.
Candidate will support software development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Position Location: Huntsville, AL
CONUS Travel required: Less than 10%
Qualifications
Required Experience:
Have a Bachelors degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or the hard sciences with 3+ years of experience.
Have experience (academic or professional) developing requirements.
Have experience with Agile Scrum development methodology and associated tools.
Have experience with a configuration management software tool.
Candidate must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
Be a US citizen.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with documentation tools such as Texmaker and PlantUML.
Experience supporting field demonstrations.
Familiarity with git for software source control and configuration management.
Familiarity with basic networking and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with training and simulation in aerospace related applications.
