We are seeking a highly skilled Model Based Systems Engineering Lead to join our team and contribute to the development of Army Uncrewed Launched Effects (LE) platforms. As a Model Based Systems Engineer in the Command, Control, and Effects (C2E) Product Office, you will leverage advanced modeling and simulation techniques to analyze, design, and optimize LE systems for military applications. The C2E Product Office is committed to developing innovative and reliable solutions to support the U.S. Army's mission. Our team is passionate about leveraging advanced technologies to enhance the capabilities of Army Uncrewed Launched Effects systems.
This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
Serve as Systems Engineering Lead to an Integrated Product Team (IPT) or leading a group of engineers and technical personnel engaged in the management and execution of one or more life cycle phases of LE systems development. Responsibilities include oversight of the following: technical planning activities on assigned projects; technical review activities; Systems Engineering process development, maturity and execution; defining system functional and performance requirements; providing systems engineering expertise; feasibility determination of new design concepts.
Manage the development of system models of Army LE systems using industry-standard modeling tools (e.g., CAMEO, MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica, SystemVerilog).
Manage system analysis efforts to identify potential risks, bottlenecks, and performance issues.
Manage the design and optimization of system architectures based on modeling results, considering factors such as lethality, survivability, and mission effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between system requirements and design.
Oversee the development and execution of simulation experiments to validate system behavior in various operational scenarios.
Analyze simulation data to identify trends, insights, and potential improvements.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
Strong proficiency in modeling and simulation tools (e.g., CAMEO, MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica, SystemVerilog).
Experience with system engineering methodologies.
Knowledge of system architecture and design principles for military systems.
Understanding of unmanned systems technologies and applications.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Army Uncrewed Launched Effects systems or related technologies.
Familiarity with military standards and specifications.
Knowledge of model-based verification and validation techniques.
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
Experience with model-based development processes (e.g., Model-Driven Architecture, Model-Based Design).
Knowledge/Skills:

Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
