Uncrewed Systems Robotics Engineer
Key Role:
Support the research and development of robotic and unmanned systems across multiple operational domains and mission areas. Function at the intersection of software and hardware to design, build, test, and demonstrate new robotic capabilities that address complex client problems in sensing, autonomy, and human interaction. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with conducting robotics engineering work, including implementing software and control schemes, integrating or repairing hardware, such as actuators or sensors, and testing proper function and operation
Knowledge of design, development, implementation, evaluation, and support functions of uncrewed and autonomous vehicles
Ability to build, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, document their design, and make changes to designs
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with conducting detailed design of production of uncrewed underwater vehicles based on performance requirements
Experience with using design, modeling, and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, SolidWorks, or MagicDraw
Ability to derive and populate a state space model of vehicle dynamics, pose, and forces
Ability to manage coordinate reference frame transformations and translations, including Body to NED
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred; Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field a plus
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
