Lockheed Martin is seeking a Microelectronics Inspector to support our Orlando, FL site.
Are you a hands on person who enjoys intricate hardware evaluations and looking to make a significant impact in the exciting world of microelectronic devices? We're seeking a highly motivated inspector to join our team in the Microelectronics Center at the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Orlando, FL facility.
You'll be working on the forefront of production activities for our most cutting edge missile and fire control product lines such as the Hellfire II Missile, Joint-Air-to-Ground Missile, Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod and F-35 Sensor.
An inspector position within manufacturing will review and evaluate hardware using prints, schematics, sketches, and other procedures. The candidate will work with a strong and dedicated engineering and manufacturing cross-discipline group in conducting in-depth failure investigations and cutting edge equipment to ensure product quality is maintained through manufacturing processes.
What You Will Be Doing
Duties include but are not limited to:
Performs complex in-process and final inspections on all Microelectronics Assemblies.
Verifies traceability of hardware, verifies documentation and electronic systems are accurate and complete, documents defects and verifies rework was completed according to documentation.
Performs incoming testing such as lead fatigue, temp aging and solderability, capacitance, and insulation resistance.
Coordinates other testing with various labs and compares results of inspections and testing with specification requirements and determines acceptance or rejection.
Works from engineering drawings, sketches, specifications, manufacturing process plans, manufacturing processes, inspection test plans and other written instructions.
Performs inspections under a microscope. Performs measurements using a smart scope, calipers, micrometers, Optical Measuring System, or other necessary measuring tools.
Perform and inspect solder.
Verify requirements for shelf life and create labels for materials.
May conduct required audits in assigned work areas to determine compliance with applicable quality procedures. Calculates necessary mathematical corrections for both physical and electrical or other required characteristics. May be required to assists and familiarizes other employees as needed.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain security clearance.
Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Prior Microelectronics Manufacturing, Inspection and/or Quality experience.
Computer skills, solder, and cable and harness experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality systems and processes.
SAP working knowledge.
Working knowledge of surface mount and through-hole solder requirements.
Experience with MIL-STD-883
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
