We are currently seeking an experienced Network Engineer to enhance our cybersecurity and network protection capabilities.
Position Overview: As a Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of network systems for defense-related projects. This position requires a deep understanding of network security principles and the ability to apply this knowledge to develop robust network protection plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utilizing network security tools and conducting comprehensive network assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct network security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and assess risks within network architectures.
Develop and implement comprehensive network protection plans to safeguard critical network systems against potential threats.
Utilize Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tools for continuous monitoring and vulnerability management.
Perform detailed analyses and evaluations of network integrity, security, and protection measures.
Manage user and asset permissions using Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), ensuring proper access control and security compliance.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to align network security measures with overall security policies and regulations.
Stay abreast of the latest network security trends and technologies to continually enhance network defense mechanisms.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on network security within the defense sector.
Proficient in using network security tools, including ACAS, for vulnerability scanning and security assessments.
Demonstrated experience with Cisco networking technologies and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct thorough network evaluations and develop effective protection strategies.
Knowledge of current cybersecurity standards and protocols relevant to the defense industry.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex network security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Security+) are highly desirable.
