WHO WE ARE
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Orlando, FL for a Systems Engineer in our Specialty Engineering group. You can help us take on the world's most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals and interact with outside customers.
THE WORK :
In this role, you will -
· Perform technical planning and evaluate product designs for potential or existing obsolete or demilitarized components on DoD aviation training simulators and automated test equipment.
· Develop and implement business cases determining how to address obsolete parts compliant with various military standards and system requirements.
· Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
· Examine plans and specifications for system components to determine recommended alternatives for form, fit, and function to mitigate obsolescence, reliability, maintainability, or sparing risks.
· Document, recommend, and present technical refreshes for suggested design upgrades, retrofits, and improvements for new system capabilities
· Identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations based on Domestic and International regulation bodies. Investigates industrial accidents in the field to minimize recurrence.
· Compile, record, and analyze obsolescence, safety, and reliability risks in various databases.
· Scope may also include performing reliability analysis and detailed trade studies to support Integrated Logistics Support requirements and interdisciplinary engineering functions throughout multiple lines of business.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a STEM related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Two or more years of full-time engineering experience
Demonstrated experience in logistics engineering, obsolescence, reliability & maintainability engineering, or a related role
Must be able to obtain & maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Detail Oriented.
· Experience with MIL STD 1388 and MIL HDBK 1388.
· Active DoD clearance.
· Model Based Systems Engineering or SysML experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
