Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is looking to hire an In-Process Build Inspector to support our Orlando, FL site.
The In-Process Build Inspector will be required to:
-Perform in-process/final inspections on electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, electro-optical and other mechanical, composite and integrated systems.
-Ascertain functionality in accordance with prescribed company and customer requirements and specifications and may present to the customer for certification and acceptance prior to shipment.
-Work with computer applications for engineering record retention systems to obtain and accomplish inspection planning and acceptance.
-Follows work instructions and redlines.
-Utilizes a variety of inspection instruments and gages to assist in comprehensive inspection.
-Reject non-conforming hardware and communicate with manufacturing/quality engineering to streamline rework.
-Stamp or otherwise approve systems and integrated systems as acceptable, obtains customer approval, and prepares and maintains paperwork and records.
The selected candidate MUST have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, weekend 3x12 or split shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin
and the UAW.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees and management.
Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day
work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional day(s) away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Employee will be required to work multiple shifts and schedules per the UAW Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Basic Qualifications:
-Prior Inspection and/or Quality experience.
-Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain security clearance.
-Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd or split shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
-Computer skills.
-Solder and cable & harness experience.
-Ability to read and interpret work instructions & specifications.
-Ability to follow instructions and communicate
clearly.
Desired Skills:
-Working knowledge of Manufacturing/Quality systems and processes.
-Working knowledge of SAP
-IPC J-STD-001 Certification
-IPC WHMA-A-620B Wire Harness Certification
-Prior inspection experience on military/aerospace hardware
