The Antenna Systems Mission Architect will help design and architect deployable space antenna systems and structures for a variety of space-based GEO and LEO communications and ISR missions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience and knowledge in the Spaceborne communication and ISR missions and antenna systems. He or she will have the ability to develop system architectures and trade studies of various reflector antenna configurations and geometries across multiple orbits and platforms. Responsibilities include the application of antenna theory, leading and performing link budget analysis and electrical antenna modelling and simulations to drive implementation trades which result in optimal system designs to meet customer antenna beam requirements.
Essential Functions:
Provide electrical reflector antenna design leadership for various Spaceborne MissionsIdentify mission value of new technologies and help drive robust, multi-disciplinary, advanced technology development programConcept development to provide mission solutionsInterpret and create requirements for key Acquisitions related to spaceborne antenna systemsEvaluates customer and /operational needs to help define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfacesExecutes technical responsibilities within project cost and schedule constraintsResolves cross-functional technical issuesDetermines whether requirements can be met with existing capabilities/designs or if new design requirements must be developedGenerates and derives system and antenna requirements based on customer mission requirementsProvides technical coordination between external customer's engineers, industry engineers and internal engineering groups to articulate technical issuesPrepares and presents technical information internally and externally that addresses specific subjects of interestAdvocates the customer's critical needs to internal stakeholdersProvide technical direction for the development, integration, and testing of complex electro-mechanical antenna systemsLead and perform trade studies required to make both tactical and strategic technical decisions for programsProvide mentoring, guidance and leadership to junior engineers

Qualifications:
12+ years' experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalentActive TS/SCI Security Clearance requiredPreferred Additional Skills:
