Title:
Systems Engineer
KBR seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to support a contract with the U.S. Government (USG) on Vandenburg Space Force Base. The position requires the employee to liaise with multiple sites and the USG regarding systems engineering and intelligence. The ideal candidate will have experience within the Intelligence Community and familiarity with standard systems engineering approaches and intelligence-gathering techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a liaison between multiple USG organizations; requires up to 50% travel.
Understand and be proficient with Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA)
Advise and assist intelligence analysis, technical collection, and exploitation priorities supporting USG plans and operations.
Demonstrate experience in mission planning and requirements focusing on system, people, and process solutions that satisfy customer needs.
Establish and coordinate technical support relative to mission, capabilities, and limitations.
Respond to unexpected situations or new developments requiring on-site engagement for building broader operational knowledge and informing USG management.
Facilitate direct access to available USG-hosted intelligence databases, providing instruction and administrative assistance to build more collaborative networks.
Coordinate direct contact between analysts and collection managers for policy, program, managerial, analytic, or operational responsibilities.
Provide requirements formulation advice and assistance, highlighting USG plans and operations, and participating in exercises and wargames.
Inform USG on joint all-source analytic tradecraft training related to writing for release and tear line reporting criteria.
Develop programmatic and technical information to support the program management decision-making process.
QUALIFICATIONS
BS and/or MS in STEM-related discipline preferred
10 years experience
Experience collaborating with the community to prioritize, rank and task technical collection
Experience in processing and exploiting technical intelligence and the production of intelligence products for dissemination to the community
Space Situational/Domain Awareness
Travel:? CONUS and OCONUS travel are required up to 50%.
30 days after the start, you will be in VA with KBR and Customer, then occasionally travel to CO. Security Requirements:??Active TS-SCI with?Poly security clearance required.
Basic Compensation:
$136,840-$180,000
This range is for the central coast of California only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
