Technical Publications Manager
Job Summary: Product owner for all product support contract deliverables. Lead a team that includes subcontractors to create and deliver system training materials and other logistics documents for the next-generation collective training system program production activities. Responsible for direct management of the Technical Publications staff engaged in all activities associated with the preparation of technical documents and major publications. May direct the activities of one of more of the following functions: writing, editing, illustrating, word processing and the like. Ensures adherence to schedules, specifications, formats and budgets. Responsible for the employment, training, motivation and discipline of assigned employees.
Essential Job Functions:
Lead the training material design, requirements, and integration into the next generation of collective training software systems.
Manage a team to develop training materials including video content and written documentation.
Manage a team to deliver training materials and program of instruction to new equipment fielding locations.
Manage a team to develop and deliver logistics documentation including video content and written documentation.
Work in an agile team environment to refine requirements, describe deliverables, and deliver products.
Required Education/Experience:
Minimum 5 years supervision/management experience.
Ten (10) years' experience writing, editing, and delivering U.S. Army logistics and training materials.
Bachelor's Degree in applicable technical field or equivalent experience.
Other Requirements: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship status with the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
