Job Summary AVT Simulation is seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities and Simulator Technician to join our team in Orlando. The primary responsibility of this role is the maintenance and oversight of our facilities. This position will involve coordinating and supervising subcontractors, performing minor maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all aspects of facility upkeep are managed efficiently. Additionally, during periods when facilities tasks are minimal, the technician will assist with various aspects of simulator production and support for Department of Defense projects. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance for this role.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Facilities Maintenance:
Perform routine and minor maintenance tasks including drywall repair, painting, basic electrical diagnostics, and corrections, etc.
Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors for specialized services.
Manage contractors who maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, grounds maintenance, security systems, roofing, and custodial services, etc.
Ensure that all facility systems are operational and meet safety and compliance standards.
Address any facility-related issues promptly and effectively, with minimal oversight.
Simulator Support:
Assist simulator production technicians with receiving, inventory management, picking, production, quality assurance, shipping, and installation of simulators.
Support simulator production and quality control processes to meet project deadlines and specifications.
Administrative and Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and facility management tasks.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
Assist in the procurement of tools, materials, and services as needed.
Ensure compliance to all government (local, state, and federal) requirements.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in facilities maintenance is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, grounds maintenance, security, roofing, and custodial services.
Certifications in HVAC, or other facilities related discipline are an advantage.
Capability to handle and operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
Experience in a technical or production environment is an advantage.
Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks independently, including drywall repair, painting, basic electrical diagnostics, and mounting items.
Experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating maintenance activities.
Knowledge of simulator production and support is a plus.
