Wounded Warrior Project's (WWP) Talent Development Specialist supports all aspects of organizational development by conducting needs assessments and developing programs that maximize leadership and employee performance. The Talent Development Specialist also collaborates with WWP leaders to design and implement resources, processes, and programs that support individual development, career mobility, and team level bench strength across the organization.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, deliver, and assess learning and development solutions (face-to-face and virtual) that focus on leadership, talent development, and organizational performance and culture (e.g., talent review workshops).
Support organizational initiatives such as career management, competency modeling, hi-potential development, and succession planning - assist with gathering, tracking, and analyzing program data as needed.
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) in the areas of organizational development, performance improvement, training techniques/concepts, and assessment methods.
Conduct performance analysis and consultation to identify development opportunities that improve competencies and enhance individual/team abilities to achieve strategic goals.
Partner with human resources teams and organizational leaders to integrate performance improvement and HR processes, and implement best practice strategies for attracting, engaging and retaining talent.
Build strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders while working to bring teams to consensus, alignment, and action.
Create and maintain instructional materials including facilitator guides, program documents, workbooks, job aids, and other learning resources.
Research and remain current on best practices in learning and organizational development, talent management, and related technologies.
Travel to regional offices to support the facilitation of internal training, workshops, teambuilding, summits, and special events, as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
High level of professionalism, diplomacy, and tact, balanced with genuine humility and strong emotional intelligence.
Excellent knowledge of organizational development principles, adult learning theories, and instructional design/delivery methodologies.
Solid consultative skills with the ability to assess individual and team performance, influence others, and provide thought leadership in organizational learning and development.
Strong project management skills - ability to remain highly organized, pay attention to detail, and coordinate resources across a fast-paced environment.
Must possess a creative, insightful, and innovative approach to learning with a well-developed sense of aesthetic and practical application.
Flexibility to work autonomously or in a highly collaborative environment, seeking clarification and support as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include public speaking and/or training delivery.
Advanced level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Strong business acumen.
EXPERIENCE
Requirements:
Four years of applicable experience within a learning and organizational development capacity.
Preferences:
Two years' applicable experience in developing learning plans and associated training resources..
EDUCATION
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Organizational Development, Business, or related area of study.
