Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Global Surveillance Division has an opening for either a Level 3 Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst or a Level 4 Sr. Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be located in San Diego, CA . This position will follow a 9/80, Hybrid work schedule.
The selected candidates will develop and manage comprehensive internal export and import controls primarily focused on the Unmanned Arial Vehicle (UAV) portfolio of programs to ensure compliance with US and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, government contracting, foreign military sales, global supply chain and strategic business activities. The ideal candidate will be experienced with providing guidance on ITAR and EAR transactions.
The Level 3 Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst or Level 4 Senior Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst will become part of Northrop Grumman's Global Trade Compliance (GTC) organization, working to ensure compliance with export laws that enhance foreign policy and protect national security.
Essential Functions:
Draft and manage complex export authorizations in accordance with comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with US and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities.
Follow business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.
Perform operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments.
Maintain applicable trade compliance records in SAP/GTS and OCR-EASE in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Support investigation and resolution of compliance problems, questions, or complaints.
Participate in audit assessments to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
Deliver presentations and export training for organization, and program/function specific export training with regard to tools, processes, and export authorizations.
Provide GTC support to various Aeronautics Systems programs as needed.
Additional Responsibilities Will Include:
Analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex situations independently and in teams.
Develop export authorization strategies in coordination with technology release teams.
Work under consultative direction and in teams toward long-range goals and objectives.
Acquire skills necessary to serve a diverse portfolio.
Exercise independent judgment and self-initiate assignments in line with organizational goals.
Maintain the highest standards for quality of own work product.
This requisition may be filled as either a Level 3 Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst or a Level 4 Senior Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst).
Basic Qualifications for the Level 3 Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of Export Licensing or Compliance related experience, 3 years with a Master's degree.
Subject Matter Expert with working knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Export Control Reform (ECR)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications for the Level 4 Sr. Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of Export Licensing or Compliance related experience, 6 years with a Master's degree.
Subject Matter Expert with working knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Export Control Reform (ECR).
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Salary Range: $88,700 - $133,100
Salary Range 2: $109,900 - $164,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
