Your Opportunity
Experienced National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) planner and project manager with ability to guide projects through the federal environmental permitting processes from constraints analysis/scoping through regulatory consultations to environmental certi?cation (FONSI or ROD).
Full-time position reporting to Stantec's Santa Barbara, CA office. Position is eligible for remote hybrid work arrangement.
Your Key Responsibilities
Prepare, manage the preparation, and review environmental impact documents and associated mitigation plans in accordance with NEPA such as Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, and exemptions/exclusions and review technical studies and associated ?eld surveys informing NEPA documents such as biological resources surveys and assessments, cultural resources surveys and reports, geotechnical surveys and reports, air quality reports, wetland delineations, etc.

Good organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail.
Strong technical writing, analytical and oral communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
Ability to manage time e?ectively and meet ?rm deadlines.
Ability to acquire background clearance su?cient to gain entry to military installations and/or controlled access facilities.
Valid driver's license with good driving record
Position requires a pre-employment Drug screen
Preferred
Experience with environmental analysis and permitting for military projects (Navy, Marine Corps, Air National Guard, Coast Guard, Air Force, etc.) or projects for other federal government entities on Federally-owned lands.
Oversee preparation of environmental permit applications with various federal and state agencies for a variety of project types/sizes.
Manage the project or task team (o?ce- and ?eld-based) and their assignments, deliverables, ?les and administrative record, safety program, subconsultants and their contracting process, and client and their expectations; and monitor and review project contracts, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Community/Urban Planning or a closely related ?eld.
Master's Degree in any of the ?elds described above preferred
Minimum 6 years of related work experience, with demonstrated task lead experience.
Ability to obtain IAW NISPOM security clearance

Salary Range(s):
CA Other Areas $98,200 - CA Other Areas $142,300 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
