Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Security Coordinator 4 to join our excellent, diverse team of security professionals. This is an on-site position at the Rancho Carmel campus, located in San Diego, CA. This position reports to the Rancho Carmel DoD Security Manager. The selected candidate will be a member of the industrial security team working to support our overall campus security operations and our classified areas. This role will complete work in our security systems and will need to develop and maintain technical knowledge related to Lenel or equivalent access control databases. Database entry and maintenance pertaining to personnel folders, classified safes, and other NISPOM compliance requirements. The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to follow processes and procedures. Produces employee and guest badges, identification cards, and security reader cards. Processes security information and data for employment records, security clearances, and property control. Collects and submits electronic fingerprints, handprints and optical reading into systems. Maintains lock and key records. Processes visit authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas. Verifies accuracy of information prior to issuing clearances. Maintains controlled security documents and information.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Create, maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers.
Meticulous record-keeping and responsible for accurate data input into multiple databases/spreadsheets.
Produces employee and guest badges, identification cards, and security reader cards.
Processes security information and data for employment records, security clearances, and property control.
Performs clearance verification, escorting, and access control activities in and around secure facilities, and must be willing and able to work variable shifts if necessary (afternoons, evenings, and possibly weekends).
Manage secure conference room calendars and offer security support for meetings, order supplies, and complete all other administrative tasks as assigned.
General physical security and Lock and Key duties.
Supports the site SETA (Security, Education, Training, & Awareness)
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or security related experience.
Current Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be proficient in MS Office suite (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, TEAMs).
Candidate must be organized and efficient at time management.
Candidate must have good customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM rule and DoDM 5205.07 V1-4
Active Top-Secret clearance.
Knowledge Of Workday and ESIS/SIMS applications.
Knowledge of Lenel access control systems.
Knowledge DISS and NISS applications.
Prior completion of the FSO for Possessing Facilities curriculum in DCSA's CDSE.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision.
Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in a variety of program areas.
Ability to excel and willing to work extended hours in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
Excellent communication skills, speaking, writing skills and organizational skills enabling effective communications.
OPSEC program experience.
Classification review experience.
Must be detail-oriented, have meticulous record-keeping, and will be responsible for accurate data input into multiple databases/spreadsheets.
Organized and efficient at time management
Salary Range: $58,400 - $97,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
