What You Will Do :
The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcases the Guidehouse culture, and provides Interns with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support of the clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience.
Highlights of our Internship Program include:
10-week experience in the Summer of 2025 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 2nd and run until Friday, August 8th)
Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor-Led)
Performance management, including developing goals and holding Mid-Point and Final Evaluations
Networking & Social Activities and Events
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern Event
Intern Speaker Series
Staffing on active Guidehouse projects
The State and Local Government practice provides individuals the opportunity to serve our States, Counties, Cities, Higher Education, Non-Profit, and Multi-lateral clients in the areas of: economic development, sustainability, disaster recovery, business design, organizational strategy, technology strategy, market analysis, financial modeling, operational analysis, process improvement, change management, technology implementation, risk management, compliance monitoring, and program
management.
We deliver compelling, high impact solutions to our state and local government clients' toughest business and technology problems. We translate strategy into action.
What You Will Need :
Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
Minimum Degree Status: Must still be enrolled in an accredited graduate or undergraduate level degree program and graduate between Fall 2025 and Summer 2026
Ability to accommodate an expected Summer 2025 start date
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country

What Would Be Nice To Have :
Demonstrates knowledge in and passion for improving state and local government through academic courses and project work; Preferred degree programs include business, information sciences, public policy, urban planning, data analytics, economics, engineering, and math. Applicants with non-traditional degree backgrounds are still encouraged to apply.
Demonstrates proven success and thorough skills to define and lead client-work including conducting baseline assessments, building a future state vision, developing implementation plans, managing multiple stakeholders, and communicating with varying audiences
Demonstrates proven success and thorough knowledge of key facets of state and local government, including the following: Sub-verticals including sustainability, urban planning, education, housing, transportation, justice, and/or administration
Demonstrates proven success and thorough knowledge of core management consulting skills such as project management, financial modeling, operational modeling, and stakeholder management
The annual salary range for this position is $37,400.00-$67,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
