We are currently bidding on a contract providing IT and Cyber Security services for the IT Division within the NSWC Corona Division, Corporate Operations Department, supporting the Command Information Office, Information Technology Operations, Information Management Customer Services and Cyber Security.

We will be seeking a Developer Assistant/Software Engineer I
This role:
Develops and oversees website design and creation.
Plans, designs, evaluates, develops, tests, edits, maintains, and documents look and flow of websites.
Interviews clients to help them clarify their goals for establishing a website.
Designs or supervises design of digitized images, banners, bullets, charts, image maps and other graphics to enhance appearance of site.
Applies knowledge of programming techniques and computer internet systems.
Researches, designs, and develops computer and network software or specialized utility programs
Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Updates or enhances existing software capabilities.
Works with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
Maintains databases within an application area.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)
Secret clearance
Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
