Description & Requirements
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented VMware Administrator to join our team onsite in San Diego, CA supporting the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) Program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, deploy, and configure VMware vSphere servers.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware infrastructure performance.
Manage VMware vCenter Server, including resource allocation, and performance tuning.
Plan and execute VMware ESXi host upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VMware infrastructure with storage, network, and other systems.
Develop and maintain documentation for VMware infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices.
collaborate closely with other IT professionals across contracts to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the NCTE virtualized infrastructure.
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT teams as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma
5 years of experience in managing VMware vSphere environments.
Proficiency in VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, and ESXi administration.
Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, technologies, and best practices.
Familiarity with storage, networking, and server hardware technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Up to 25% travel
Preferred Qualifications:
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Security Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00-$155,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
