We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheduling and Planning Project Manager within our ASI Division in Palmdale, California.
This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the operational aspects of one or more project(s) and serves as the liaison between project management and the project team, planning, and line management for sharing information and resolving basic problems. Continually reviews status of the project(s) and budgets to ensure project(s) are completed on time and within budget. Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet production, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, line management, and the customer.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with the Program Office and Flight Operations Facilities (FOF's) to create resource Strategic Priority Schedules, conduct resource forecasting, execution support, resource swimlanes, and metrics models to support current and upcoming projects and programs at eight geographically remote Flight Test Centers.
Using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Milestones Professional, and other planning tools will maintain and report program production status on a daily/weekly basis
Some experience with Project Engineering is desired
Responsible for receiving status updates from Program Management supporting our Flight Test Centers and advise management of the status of work in progress, capacity and material availability, and potential problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as required
Match timelines with actual fielded status and work-in-progress
Interfaces with operating and support groups (Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Repair Depot, Flight Operations, Advanced Development, and Quality Assurance) to collect data for preparation of planning schedules and reports as well as providing status reports to internal contacts
Interacts directly with military (USAF and Army Programs) to ensure forecasts remain accurate and provides recommendations to adjust planning schedules as required to smooth demand peaks into capacity limits
Manage data to produce various reports for management
Maintain, develop, and update a variety of electronic and/or hard copy reports and records which may be confidential and sensitive in nature for a variety of parties, which may require independent interaction with management, customers, vendors or agencies
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and at least six years of progressively complex experience in the project administration. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Must have a thorough understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
Must possess: (1) the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects; (2) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of complex issues; (3) strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and, (4) the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to work additional hours and travel as required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance is required.
