MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recommends and implements programs to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal Safety regulations including documentation, reporting, training, and program development.
Identify and maintain systems and processes for continuous improvement in Safety performance and compliance activities.
Analyze safety metrics provide leadership with accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives and justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.
Track upcoming regulatory changes, identify impact on Oakley develop plan for implementation of new programs and processes that result from regulatory changes. Develop appropriate "tools" to assist with implementation.
Develop and implement site and department safety goals and strategies aligned with broader organization goals.
Partner with the Worker's Compensation claim function to ensure timely reporting and management of claims costs. Ensure Incident Reporting and investigations processes identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
Lead cross-functional teams to conduct risk assessments to proactively identify potential risks that could contribute to injuries or compliance issues and develop action plans to address.
Provide technical support and direction for Safety compliance and accident prevention programs and practices.
Interface with external regulatory agencies, and internal business partners (manufacturing, Production Technology, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.) regarding new product, equipment and process introductions, various Safety initiatives as well as programs and practices.
Partner with corporate and other Luxottica Manufacturing Safety personnel in the U.S. and globally to leverage global safety best practices into the Oakley campus.
Experience implementing and maintaining OHSAS 18001 or other Safety management Systems at a manufacturing site.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS/BA in safety, ergonomics or a related field required
5+ years' of increasing responsibilities in safety programs in manufacturing or industrial organizations.
Possess a thorough understanding of local, state and Federal regulatory requirements in California.
Written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with Directors and VPs
Analytical and problem solving skills. Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization
Bilingual Speaking, Reading, and Writing in English/Spanish

Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
