Job Description:
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking motivated candidates to join our insider threat detection, systems integration team. Our mission oriented team is responsible for the design, testing, deployment, maintenance, operation, and evolution of the systems directly supporting the insider threat detection program of a large government customer in the United States Intelligence Community (USIC). GDIT has an immediate opening on the team for a motivated Insider Threat Analyst who is up to date with the latest Insider Threat detection tools and techniques. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that provides an opportunity to leverage cutting edge technologies in pursuit of a vital mission that protects people, sensitive information/technologies, and the national security posture of the USIC.
The majority of work will be performed in Chantilly, Virginia, which is located approximately 25 miles west of Washington D.C., near the Dulles International Airport.
Key Responsibilities:
Insider Threat Analysts triage data of anomalous events collected by User Activity Monitoring (UAM) Tools, and other data analytics tools and sources to decipher underlying trends or uncover anomalies and discern obscure patterns and attributes. Analysts elevate events of concern and produce proactive Insider Threat leads that document issues on computer misuse, various violations of policies, counterintelligence concerns, foreign influence, financial stressors, threats to self or others, Continuous Evaluation (CE), adjudicative and other insider threat concerns. Provide analytic case support to investigations, administrative or security inquiries, counterintelligence risk assessments, or other adjudicative assessments, OIG misconduct issues, DoD investigations and external agencies. Analysts document all referral activities in written products and reports. Complete special analytical projects as directed by leadership. Prepare and present analysis, in the form of briefings and/or reports, to leadership.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Assist in the proactive identification of new collection methodologies for the Insider Threat Program
Execute, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Insider Threat Program
Create TTPs for identifying insider threats and brief team members on emerging threats
Collaborate with Insider Threat Analysts and Advanced Analytics team to develop innovative Insider Threat capabilities to further enhance our proactive and reactive analytical process
Uses subject matter expertise to identify and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues identified within the Insider Threat Analysis Center
Provides technical training to the analytical staff
Analyze current capabilities within UAM and Advanced Analytic stack to assist in creating a strategic technical roadmap for future capabilities
Proactively conduct research on emerging technologies and provide leadership an in-depth presentation

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
