Koniag Professional Services, a Koniag Government Services company is seeking an entry-level Document Reviewer Level 1 (DRL1) to conduct classification reviews of government agency documents primarily at the National Declassification Center (NDC) and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in scientific or engineering disciplines and the ability to identify potential classified information in various technical areas related to nuclear weapons and materials.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing documents to identify potential Restricted Data (RD), Formerly Restricted Data (FRD), Trans classified Foreign Nuclear Information (TFNI), and National Security Information (NSI) in the following technical areas:
Nuclear weapons design and improvise nuclear devices
Nuclear material production and isotope separation technologies
Counterintelligence and nuclear intelligence
Weapon science and inertial confinement fusion
Military utilization of nuclear weapons
Determining whether documents potentially contain RD/FRD/TFNI/DOE NSI/Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI) and referring those documents to a Document Reviewer Level 3 or above for a classification determination.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a physical science from an accredited college or university.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read and understand written English at or above academic grade 15, as demonstrated by a passing score on the Nelson Denny reading assessment or equivalent.
Must satisfactorily complete Historical Records Reviewer training by the end of the contract transition period.
For new hires, this training must be completed within one (1) month of hire.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a detail-oriented environment.
Excellent reading comprehension and ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
Familiarity with classification guidelines, regulations, and procedures related to RD, FRD, TFNI, NSI, and UCNI.
Ability to recognize potential classified information and refer documents accordingly.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Qualification as a DOE Derivative Classifier (DC) at the time of hire.
Top-Secret Clearance required

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
